About Mindfulness Meditation
In this class we introduce several foundational practices that activate innate awareness, creating new neural networks in the brain. The exercises act as an intervention to alleviate symptoms of stress, anxiety, unhappiness and exhaustion. Evidence shows they boost physical and emotional resilience, mental stability and vitality. This is modern meditation, suitable for the workplace and can be done sitting in chairs.

About Mindful Movement
Mindful movement is an alternative to sitting practice and offers the same range of benefits. We explore gentle, slow practices that can easily be modified if necessary. Mindful movement acts as an immediate intervention into agitation and overwhelm, it is both restorative and energising. We include a simple Qigong sequence, which supports health and vitality by working with the body's energy centres. This session is both grounding and balancing.
A yoga mat or towel is recommended for the floor work and we suggest wearing clothing that allows for gentle movement.

About iRest
iRest (Integrative Restoration) is a modern presentation of the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra. Developed by Richard Miller,a clinical psychologist, this is a simple practice where you are guided into a profound state of relaxation. This calms the central nervous system, increasing resilience to stress and anxiety. Research shows regular iRest practice can help to resolve issues such as insomnia, anxiety, fear and depression. As a somatic body-sensing practice it is being widely used in trauma work and can alleviate substance dependence. iRest promotes wellbeing by aiding the release of blocked emotions and negative thought patterns, awakening our innate intelligence.
We suggest lying down for the practice or sitting in a chair is an option.

About Laughter Yoga
Laughter Yoga is quickly gaining world-wide attention as a unique stress intervention. We present a range of playful exercises followed by rest in deep relaxation. LY quickly activates the release of endorphins and facilitates positive states of mind. It increases the supply of oxygen to our body and brain, helping to improve vitality, efficiency and concentration. It activates the immune system and supports rapid healing in chronic conditions. We intentionally practice unconditional cheerfulness, developing new strategies to maintain positive mental attitudes regardless of circumstances. LYs is an easy way to reduce stress and a great team-building exercise.
